Accessible Properties is a subsidiary of IHC. We have a team of property professionals working on behalf of IHC to provide good quality, affordable homes and property management services to people with disabilities, older people, those on low incomes, and the organisation's that support them.

Accessible Properties has a team of professional property management staff with a broad range of skills and experience, including specialist knowledge in regulatory, design and construction requirements for properties used by people with disabilities.

Our staff understand the environment in which social support services work and make sure that changes to people's living environments benefit them and cause minimal disruption. Our work is centrally managed from the Accessible Properties office in Wellington and supported by team members based in other parts of New Zealand.

Examples of roles at Accessible Properties

Property Administrator

As a Property Administrator with Accessible Properties, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of warm, safe, and well-maintained homes that enable people to live with dignity and independence. Our homes provide essential support for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, as well as others in need of social housing.

In this role, you’ll help keep our property operations running smoothly – coordinating maintenance requests, managing documentation, ensuring compliance, and supporting our teams to provide the best possible service. Your organisation, attention to detail, and empathy will help ensure every tenant feels supported and every home meets the high standards that help communities thrive across Aotearoa.

As an Asset Manager with Accessible Properties, you’ll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of properties within your region – from planning and capital investment through to maintenance, compliance, and improvements. Working closely with contractors, service providers, and internal teams, you’ll ensure that every property is safe, well-maintained, and aligned with organisational goals.

This role combines hands-on delivery with strategic portfolio management, using data and insights to guide decisions that balance quality, cost, and long-term performance.
